I am Lias, in my late 20s, and have been doing RPGs in all shapes and on all sorts of sites for well over a decade now. Other hobbies include reading (averaging 150 books a year, I happily give recommendations), various crafts (knitting, crochet, sewing, miniature models), hiking (when I can get near proper nature) and collecting rocks. The curse of enjoying chars from niche fandoms forces me to draw occasionally and I admittedly lack plenty of practice in that yet. This also means I have barely any icons for my fellows (sorry).

Character: Daniel “Day” Wing
Canon: “Legend” books by Marie Lu, specific canon point just after the fight in the tunnels with June – from which he got taken to a crossover RP with two friends. Setting of that was “Tales from the Gas Station” with the whole crew of main characters, also featuring Xochipilli (aztec god mythology OC, with backstory from yet another RP), Palmer (The Thing), Bartimaeus (Bartimaeus Sequence) and Mordred Deschain (Dark Tower). Differences aside, found family got quickly established and he got to spend about a year there growing up in safety, but with lots of new weirdness, before coming to this place

Daniel is a genuine good kid, the sort of hero who not just refuses to kill to make the world better, but who will do his best to avoid harming even henchmen. He’s incredible smart and agile, at the upper range of what humans can naturally achieve. Unlucky for him he was the main protagonist in a dystopian setting, where being ‘too smart for your own good’ is a thing that can end you up dead quickly. Fighting a military dictatorship with non-lethal means and mostly single-handed is also rather a challenge and even morals can be a bad trait when you forgive those who hurt you too easily. Honestly, events in his canon moved too fast for him to think about most of this, so getting out of that showed a lot of underlying PTSD that he needs to work through. At this point he is still fragile, barely 17 and got the trauma of a war veteran, with most of his coping mechanism being to hide in the forest, away from humans and his own past. Would’ve stayed there for the rest of his life and played the benevolent forest spirit if allowed to.

Hopes and dreams:
I really want for him to meet people his age, have some normal (human, teen/young adult) relationships for once, since he never quite got the chance for that before. More friends and family are always welcome of course! Especially ones that can help him work through the issues stemming from past trauma – or just decide to protect him from acquiring more of that, help him figure out such outlandish things like hobbies and favourite music.
Love to get to play him as slightly-magic here and since the Gas Station was weird/horror/fantasy, he won’t get concerned about the situation all too soon. Fae abductions are like the average Tuesday there, it’s fine. There’s still so much he can learn about the world(s) at large and how other cultures handle stuff and I promise he is very accepting of anything you might throw at him (I mean, he repeatedly befriended people/beings that intended to kill him).

Canon: OC from the “Children of Time” books by Adrian Tchaikovsky, unrelated to any characters in it. Set an undefined time after the third one, so all species and events mentioned up to then are known

Well, first things first: Lucas is an octopus. A (very distant) ancestor of a Larger Pacific Striped Octopus. Not an alien, but uplifted – meaning they got infected with a nanovirus that over the course of many generations pushed them on a fast-path through evolution, towards humanity (inasmuch as that can be reached). He is the result of a society that expanded far beyond that, now including uplifted spiders, ravens, an AI that runs on ants, humans from Old Earth arkships and a shapechanging infection. His worldview is accordingly odd, not to mention his whole way of thinking with one main brain and 8 semi-independent brain-nodes. So far his life was free of major challenges or dangers, with the result of him being cheerfully carefree and eager to explore. The universe is big, now accessible (Cryosleep! Arkships! Faster than light drives! Editing bodies and memories!) and surely somewhere out there he can excel, get his name into the records of history. Or maybe just find the perfect crab. That’d also be acceptable.

Hopes and dreams:
I do plan to have him switch back and forth between octopus and human body – both are fun to play imo, so I’ll just apply Rule Of Funny and mark it all clearly! (Not going to happen within individual threads, unless you ask for that).
As far as he is concerned this is still part of his universe and he got here by means that are for his subconscious to figure out. He has zero context of anything fantasy, so all of this will be treated as science. This is a very unique opportunity to be the first to interact with other, new lifeforms and he will try to do so with just about everyone, with me very open to all results of CR, good, bad, weird.
Mostly I am there for the communication issues, since in either shape he will not communicate using spoken words, but with incredible complex multicolor patterns relating to his emotions – or whatever else needed to get understood. Not to mention that 2/3 of his thinking (mainly anything relating to logic) take part in his subconscious, the brain-nodes of his tentacles. Just… one very not-human, with a rather different thought process behind it all. Also he will paint on anything, once he finds any tools to do so. Colors for everyone!

I enjoyed their thread in the TDM, so I can't wait to get them to interact in game.

I'm not sure how he'd take the octopus form. He may or may not remember what an octopus is

I did rather enjoy it too! Lucas will absolutely adopt this not-speaking human as a friend, with no concept of why Brian is considered weird. He'll also enjoy all the video content, the octopi pretty much skipped text messaging in favour of very elaborated multicolor gifs, with coded data attached by their subbrains.

Character: Bucky Barnes, but he's not going by a name right now. He will probably settle on one eventually, but it may not be that one :B
Canon: MCU, with an AU where he got dumped onto a monster-transformation world for a few months and now he's basically a gargoyle, with wings and horns and a tail and a preference for being very high up.
Little bit about them: Former brainwashed assassin who had his memories wiped every few days, and was stuck in cryofreeze when not on a mission. He doesn't really consider himself a person, and he definitely isn't named Bucky, god. His actual canon point is right at the end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, plus his AU world time, so he doesn't really have a lot of memories or, uh, social skills. HMD/permissions over here.

Hopes and dreams: I enjoy all kinds of CR! He is probably not good for romance any time soon, but anything else! I'm definitely going with Jules half-convincing him he's actually a lurkglider like Jules is because that's hilarious. The goal is to find out what kind of person he grow into within a new setting, and what name he decides on :)

I know the TDM is technically non-canon, but seeing as clinging to ceilings and chatting is pretty non-specific, want to just assume it happened already and continue from there with a new scene on the event log? Re-rping the whole scene seems silly XD

So, Daniel did once befriend a Bucky before (in a different rp than he is from now). He did almost got stabbed in the process, but that never stopped him before.
Anyway, he sure will recognize a soldier if he sees one and recognize the trauma of it too. Might be Bucky spots that back? Daniel might lack formal training, but he is by sheer chance of genetics ~~and a hundred years of eugenics~~ the ideal soldier (aside from having morals) and for all he pretends hard to be a forest spirit now, he did lead the military around by the nose since he was a little kid.

Yeah, it probably will, even if he doesn't necessarily know why... most likely it'll be "threat assessment" levels of recognition, haha. (Unless he's doing stupid shit like wandering around a space station without a disguise :B )

Little bit about them: A young Romulan/Vulcan who just wants to be veterinarian and somehow ended up working as a medic for a group of freedom fighters. He's a vegetarian, will talk over fighting, has a belief system that is a mix of spiritual and scientific, plays the Vulcan/Romulan lute as a hobby, is a bit of an anxious mess, and crushes at the drop of a hat. His pet Targ is named Roj and she is a very good girl.

Hopes and dreams: I don't have any specific plans, but would just love to see how CR plays out with different character types. Both he and I would love for him to get to work with animals. (No I even made a vet clinic sign for him once in a discord game) I'd also love to mess about with his telepathy at some point when either it could add something, or just be monumentally inconvenient, either or.

So Jules is also a bit of an anxious mess and we should throw our anxious messes at each other to see what happens, I'm just saying.

Really happy to see him here! I think he and Day will mesh very well as fellow vegetarians, nature/animal lovers and somewhat pacifists. I'm all for telepathy shenanigans too, Day's best friend in the Gas Station was Mordred, who by nature of being a demon could read minds and had to be taught the hard way when this is or isn't appropriate. (Day still let him do it most the time). Also please let Day see there are job options that aren't 'become the newest forest cryptid', the kid is incredible smart and not doing anything with it.

Absolutely plan to throw Lucas at Æn'kae too, I think he would appreciate meeting a sentient octopus! Even one stuck in human shape sometimes. And Lucas will appreciate someone understanding the difference in anatomy - and happily talk about the spiders, ravens, ants, AI and infection that make up his multi-species universe.

Canon: Jules is a Changeling: The Lost OC, so this is unfortunately not the first time he's been kidnapped by the Fae and he's still got trauma from the last time, oops.
Little bit about them: Jules started out as just a normal human dude but thanks to getting taken by the Fae, he's now a Lurkglider, basically just a purple gargoyle-like guy. Horns, tail, wings, claws , the works. He is seven feet tall and gets weird around doors because he broke a horn in one once, oops. His tail pops off like a lizard's if he's sufficiently freaked out! It is a literal pain in the butt. (It actually doesn't hurt but he gets dramatic about it so...) He's most comfortable in the dark and could probably be shooed away with an LED car headlight if one acquired one somewhere. He should look human to everyone who is not magically inclined but that bit of magic is a bit faulty and not working as he would expect in what he views as a fae space, so he might just look like an absurdly lanky human depending on how his luck goes. Jules is by the standards of his canon a little-f-fae (not to be confused with a big-F-merits-capitalization True Fae who are all horrible and terrifying) and he has a pretty good idea of what's going on here and that it is all bad! I am sorry for his everything. Jules is very much into computers and making bad decisions and surely nothing too terrible will come of this!
Hopes and dreams: I tend to live my RP life by Rule of Funny and I am basically looking for shenanigans above all. Mostly I just want to throw my guy at everyone and see what comes of it. Positive CR, negative CR, I'm down for it.

By Rule of Funny I propose that Daniels little Warden magic lets him just see through that Glamour and never have an idea of the human disguise existing lol
In turn I'm all up for having the kid mistaken for some sort of fae. Also anxious messes unite, the kid has his share of problems.

Liked the thread with Lucas too, I'm sure we can have them meet again and see what becomes of it.

I am all about Jules's Mask just straight up not existing for Daniel, that sounds about right. Jules could mistake Daniel for a True Fae (very negative) or perhaps for a Fairest from his world (more positive; he would be assuming Daniel's another Changeling). Depends on if you want negative or positive CR out of that mistake!

Oh, the thread with Lucas was great, Jules does not understand why he is so calm about all of this why and the potential energy there is just fantastic.

I don't think that bit of magic is strong enough to read True Fae, but the weird mix of it (flowers, trees, water, stars) sure makes for a great Changeling! And the Gas Station crew did joke between themselves that he was put there to convince them to have an actual child of their own that could get stolen lol

Gotta have some octopi-flexibility there, Jules! Sometimes you just get decanted into a new body bc stuff happened or that Weird Crab turns out to be people and sometimes you have to explode an experimental drive or two to figure out how to leave your sun system. It's fine. The subconscious will find a solution.

brian is not magical but has elder god juice on him, so he should probably see the human mask but i think itd be interesting if it glitches to him sometimes

I'm down with the Mask glitching! Brian could also notice Jules's shadow not at all matching up with the rest of him or just catch a glimpse of a weird purple gargoyle thing out of the corner of his eye, the possibilities for it to subtly act up are infinite!

- A Fairy princess (Dark Elf) who's spent 99.5% of her life as a living doll to her mother in order to be sacrificed as fuel for immortality.
- Saw Cayde-6's group do really well in a practice hunt in the lead up to The Grand Wild Hunt, and personally invited them into a meeting with her mother because she thought they had potential to win the GWH.
- She was one of the prizes of the Hunt - a trophy wife - and was won by Cayde-6.
- She has spent the last 9 months on the R2 learning to be a person in her own right and not a pretty prefect thing.
- And then she ended up on the Noanga without her hubby. She is not impressed or happy, thank you very much.
- Also the ship stinks of poor and she doesn't have her unlimited bank account here. Anyone wanna help a girl rob rich folks and un-Poor the ship?

Absolutely want to keep that fellow fae misunderstanding going! Robbing the rich and giving to the poor is something he would be up to and did in the past, but she'll have to be convincing for that. He got hurt too many times. I'll warn you though, it got established in the Gas Station that he doesn't understand nor trust virtual money. And Republic had a raging inflation, so his idea of what things are worth is rather skewed.

Lucas I'd like to bounce off Esmeryl, if only because he only knows an AI, not robots, and I want to see how it plays out when he asks what sort of ants she runs on XD

Little bit about them: The hooded figure (aka "Hoody") is one of the cryptic antagonists of Marble Hornets, a web series from around 2009. He can be see stalking the main character and is at least partially responsible for the totheark youtube channel that posts weird shit in response to Jay and (sane) Tim's videos. Brian was a normal guy who was the lead in the titular "Marbel Hornets" student films. He went missing before canon and is only revealed as Hoody at the very end.
~~Slenderman~~ The Operator rather mind-fucked him. Its more of a background effect that comes from being exposed than the Operator doing it on purpose. But either way he's very different from what he was before and not at all a normal human anymore and is rather feral.
After spending over 400 days in a snowy post apocalyptic city he's become more used to dealing with people but he's still pretty damn weird.
Honestly, he'll find the cold weather to be rather warm XD
